Could someone please tell me if/how I can stop the program searching for “\Device\Harddisk2\DR2” on startup?</p>

<p dir="auto">this message comes from the NT Volume Manager if I remember correctly.<br />
And this means, that npp might be the trigger for this message but maybe not the program<br />
which caused it. So, this cannot be easily answered.<br />
Do you have further information like</p>
<p dir="auto">which drive letter is assigned to \Device\Harddisk2\DR2? (Disc Management)<br />
How was npp installed? Or portable?<br />
Using a stick? Which OS? etc.<br />
As much infos as possible may help to find the root of the cause.</p>
