It appears as <strong>US</strong>.  I’m completely confused and can figure out what it is.</p>

Does it mean while editing the file you suddenly have those chars listed?<br />
Can you check which encoding is used when editing the file?<br />
Which npp version and operating system do you use?<br />
Where does this file come from? Different os like Linux, Mac, …</p>
<p dir="auto">Can you make a screenshot and upload it to <a href="http://imgur.com/" rel="nofollow ugc">imgur</a> or similar hosters?<br />
imgur, no registration required.</p>
