how could i change character set in notepad++.
for example :
i change the encoding from ANSI to UTF8.
save the document.
and then i change the character set to arabic windows1256.the text will change.but i cant save the change.(the save button is not active)
why?

Seems that encoding change is not considered a modification.
Just add a space and delete it.
