I have the backup enabled so in C:\Users{username}\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\backup I found some backups but exactly the file I need is missing, any way to recover that file ?</p>
<p dir="auto">Windows 10 restore should resolve the problem ?</p>
<p dir="auto">Any way to search for hex in windows temp files?</p>
<p dir="auto">I tried with some recovery tools but no luck, maybe the file was never saved in cache/backup.</p>

<p dir="auto">Notepad++ will give you a prompt in this case, if you “accidentally” close a file, for example:</p>

<p dir="auto">If you answer <em><strong>No</strong></em> to this, Notepad++ takes you seriously.</p>

<p dir="auto">No, System Restore can recover deleted files, but should not be able to recover unsaved files. If it has been synchronized, the file history will help you with the recovery process.</p>

<p dir="auto">I’m afraid but I guess this is the only way to do it but if you have already without luck maybe<br />
use a different recover software.</p>
