The only change necessary on this end was Tab settings going from [Default] to normal.</p>
<p dir="auto">The missing understanding was both the terminology where this setting was located from previous reply statements and the video of how different combinations come together.</p>

<p dir="auto">you have to upload your pictures somewhere free, like <a href="http://imgur.com" rel="nofollow ugc">imgur.com</a> and post the markdown link here.</p>
<p dir="auto">to display it inline, you have to put a <code>!</code> in front of the markdown link created by imgur.</p>

<p dir="auto">Are you facing this issue with text in a line longer than the available space in your Notepad++ window while the “Word wrap” (i.e. automatic line break) feature is turned on?</p>
<p dir="auto">If so, go to <code>(menu) Settings -&gt; Preferences -&gt; (register) Editing -&gt; (group box) Line Wrap</code> and select the <code>Default</code> item. After that only the beginning of the line where you typed the TAB character will be indented.</p>

<p dir="auto">If you don’t have any text selected, and the “Language” preference for your file’s language does not have <em>Replace by space</em> ticked, pressing the Tab key should insert a tab character.  Or maybe there is something I am misunderstanding here?</p>
