When pulling up a file and I do a search with the json viewer, and when a field is found the background of that field is very light gray and I can barely see which field it is that was a match. Is there a way I can get that very light gray background to a darker color so I can actually see the field it finds?

how can you search using json viewer plugin?
Afaik, json viewer shows only a tree like view of your current json file.

If a normal search is meant, you can change the styling via settings->style configurator->global styles->current line background and/or smart highlighting
