That is a very nasty issue, many people had reported this before. I’m sorry for your data loss.
You can try using Recuva to restore your lost data, see here:

What you can do in the future is to NEVER restart your computer if ANY program is opened (if that’s possible of course). First manually close all opened programs and then restart / power-off.
