I use notepad++ with both the -multiInst and -nosession options so that I can open independent windows across multiple desktops. I also use nppftp to access remote systems. Sometime within the last couple of updates the behavior of -nosession seems to have changed such that the nppftp window no longer shows when starting a new instance of notepad++ with the -nosession option. As soon as I remove that option the nppftp window shows when starting notepad++ again. Is there a way to get that window to show when opening a sessionless notepad++ again without having to manually show each time?

Thanks,
Jimmy

If your Debug Info is different, it would be good to add yours as well.

Your description sounds a lot like issue #9487, since the NppFTP window is a “docked window”. There have been fixes that were supposed to address similar things (which should have been in effect since v7.9.3), but that issue is still open.

Could you reply here with your ?-menu Debug Info , so that we know what version you are currently on?

I just ran a quick experiment, and if I had NppFTP window docked in a fresh v7.9.5-64bit portable , the
-nosession
argument does make that window not appear.
