I’m also curious, what do you have in Default Directory preferences?

  1. open file
  2. open form “search in files”
  3. clean “folder” input
  4. set checkbox “folder of current doc.”

Could you, please, provide all the steps to reproduce the problem?
Does the current file exist on disk?
Was there anything in “Directory” before you clicked on “Follow current doc.”?
