Oh…, my bad ! I just didn’t read the original post carrefully :-((

As I unchecked this setting for the very first time, I wanted to verify that it did not interfere with the
OS
. Hence, my remark about my music’s try !

So, as you said, @<bdi>tdi-ger</bdi> should verify if that option is UN-checked , in its configuration -))

and check the Mute All sounds option

If by “check” you meant “mark the checkbox”, then it’s the opposite of what they were asking for – they wanted a sound to be played, and instead you just told them how to mute the sound that should already exist. If by “check” you meant “verify whether the checkbox has been marked or not, and change it to the unmarked state if it was marked”, then that’s right, but your phrasing was confusing (especially since you go on to say that you verified that it muted Notepad++ beeps but not your W10 music).

@<bdi>tdi-ger</bdi>, you should go to this panel
Settings > Preferences... > MISC.
and ckeck the
Mute all sounds
option

Note that I do not verify if this setting affects other N+++ sounds. However, I verified that I was still able to listen music with my headphones, on my W10 laptop, when this option is set !

Is there a possibility to turn on a ‘beep’ when the searched string is not found at all or the last match in the document is reached and the shown result begins at the top?

The ability to enable an audible alert or “beep” when a searched string is not found or when the last match in a document is reached and the shown result begins at the top can vary depending on the specific application or software you are using to perform the search.

In some cases, the software may offer the option to enable or disable a “not found” alert or sound notification within the search settings. It’s also possible that third-party plugins or add-ons may offer this functionality as well.

To determine whether this feature is available in the software you are using, you can try checking the documentation or help files for the program, as well as searching online for any available plugins or add-ons that may offer the desired functionality. Alternatively, you could consider contacting the software vendor or seeking assistance from the software’s support team to determine if this feature is available and how to enable it.

turn on a ‘beep’ when the searched string is not found

This is already default behavior. Well, if you Find Next after the last occurrence of your Find What data.

or the last match in the document is reached and the shown result begins at the top?

There is visual evidence that this is happening; notice the window flash when “wrap around” occurs. But no there is no “sound” when this happens.
