I’m not sure what the terminology is, otherwise it might be a simple Google search away:</p>
<p dir="auto">I am trying to get a .json file to open like picture A; and it did, once, and I don’t know why or how.<br />
Picture B is usually what it opens like. What button am I not pressing to get this format?<br />

<p dir="auto">That said, JsonTools <em>can’t currently edit files in the hard drive.</em> For example, there’s no tool implemented at present that allows you to choose a bunch of JSON files and pretty-print them all in one go.</p>
<p dir="auto">Would you like me to start working on that?</p>

<p dir="auto">Notepad++ shows the JSON as it really is.  If you want to change how the JSON is formatted, you will need to run some sort of tool – whether a plugin in Notepad++ , like the JSON Viewer plugin or JSON Tools plugin, or whether an external tool that you run on the file before opening it in Notepad++ – which edits the file to use compressed vs. one-per-line layout.</p>
