After upgrading to version 8.9.3 it’s gone. How can I get it back?</p>

<p dir="auto">No version of Notepad++ has such a button on the tabs bar.  There <em>is</em> one on the far right of the menu bar (beyond the <strong>?</strong> menu):<br />

<p dir="auto">That one can be turned off using <strong>Settings &gt; Prefeerences &gt; General</strong>, where there’s a setting <code>☐  Hide right shortcuts ＋ ▼ ✕ from the menu bar</code> – if you checkmark that, and restart, then it will hide those three symbols.  Notepad++ never sets that option by default, so maybe you accidentally set it at some point.  If it’s checkmarked, just uncheckmark it, and restart, and those three buttons will be back.</p>
<p dir="auto">But, again, Notepad++ doesn’t have a similar button on the <em>tabbar</em> (and never has).  You can, however, double-click to the right of the tabs, and it will create a new tab <em>without</em> needing to find the symbol<br />
