$(CURRENT_WORD) which is used to search current word is broken in 6.8.1 version

Unable to use $(CURRENT_WORD) from notepad version 6.8.1. I was trying to create a shortcut to open a copied path from notepad by fixing the base path. Relative path will be the text which i have copied.
