Notepad++ v7.4 released

Are you going to be revising the version number? I downloaded the latest version ~2hours ago and want to ensure it contains the latest fix.

I can see why a big file would be a problem for this new “preview” feature. Also, the preview itself is REALLY SMALL, so small that one has to question its usefulness!

Any news on when 7.4.1 will be released? I downloaded the latest binary on the off chance that it was released without any revision to the version number, however, the hash is exactly the same as the previous. Thanks!

This version shows messagebox with text “The file cannot be save and it may be protected…” when I try to save a new created file although native Windows notepad does it without problems. Then when I switch to another program and switch back to the motepad++ a see a messagebox with “This file has been modified by another program…” but it has not

The Document Peeker for large files performance issue has been fixed in this binary (x64) :

@Daniel-McGurk Due to the new bug discovered (Peeker performance issue), the new release is not done last night.
I’ll try it tonight, otherwise it’ll be available in this weekend for sure. -
