It’s great to see that you have a new home. Keep up the good work. I’ve gotten a lot of my clients to change to using NotePad++ over the years.

Thank you for all the hard work and dedication. Notepad++ has always stood pretty much alone. Excelsior!

It is an improvement if only from a clean organizational approach. I hope the document sharing will work out similarly. These long distance relationships are challenging enough w/o tools to help facilitate cohesive organization. I don’t see translation, a wip I assume.

              Good move.

Looks great. Great move by shifting from Sourceforge. Also just discovered NodeBB. Looks really nice.

Hi Rogger! I would be warmly interested in the RC. Would it be possible to provide the links also to me? Thanks :)

                    Hello Don,

Thank you so much for this new great forum.
I’ve disabled clear type and font smoothing on my machine (Win 7), and this is how I see the fonts here.

Would you consider using a different font? - I’d appreciate it.
It can be done via the custom CSS panel.

                    Best regards.

And this new home happens to be nice! ☺

Hi Don Thanks so much for NP++ I am happy to see a community for users to share their thoughts and to contribute. Notepad ++ is I think the most used piece of software when I am on Windows®. I particularly love the search in all open documents function! That is such a time saver for an absent minded forgetful person like me and helps me to get more work done much faster.
I have used it since 2005 and it is the Best out there. I miss it when I am on Linux .
It does run on wine on Linux because I have tried it on a few computers.
I use Windows® often solely to be able to use NP ++! That’s the truth.
Also, with all the plugins available NP++ is a veritable “Swiss Army Knife” piece of software.
I look forward to reading posts on here and hopefully learning more.

Okay so I’m here. I’ve been using N++ for several years, barely scratching it’s capabilities. I just bought a REXX programming manual because that’s the scripting language of my telnet client, and I need to learn it. And N++ will be there to witness all my ‘**programmer error’**s. Keep up the great work everybody!

Is there any need for the restriction that editing a post must be performed within 3 minutes of the original post? I mean if this is needed to avoid some sort of rogue activity, I concede it might be necessary, but otherwise it just means people can’t clean up their typos or have extra thoughts.

It was originally put in place due to a lot of spambots (which at least for the time being have gone away for the most part). Whether or not that 3 minute limit is still needed…I can’t say for sure.

Thanks Dail, I wonder if the time restriction could be lifted and then reimposed if needed in the future. I am used to other forums where posts can be edited without any time restriction - so I am used to tidying up messages after posting them.
