      I am migrating to a new computer and am manually installing my software on new machine. I want to preserve the current session in Notepad++ and bring it to the new installation. I do not see apath through the program itslef. Hopeful there is a file that simply can be copied over. The install was by default. Just said yes and let it run so no suprises. Ty in advance for your assist…igydog

        Assuming all your open files are real files, and all in the exact same folders on old and new machine, then just copy over %AppData%\Notepad++\session.xml

        If some of your files are the unsaved new # tabs, you will also need to copy over everything in %AppData%\Notepad++\backup\

        But if you want all the same settings from your old to your new, just copy over everything from %AppData%\Notepad++\
