Installation crashes when initiated within Notepad++

Couldn’t find a post button on the announcement for 6.8.3. For the last several releases of Notepad++, the installer crashes when initiated from Notepad++; if I download, then run the exe with Notepad++ closed, the installation works. My computer is a Win 7 x64 Ultimate.
