    Hi,

    if auto insertion of paired characters like ( ), " ", etc. is switched on, Notepad++ just adds the second character of the pair, if you type the first one. It does this regardless of the context.
    This is often not what you want. I would find it more useful, if the second character was only inserted, if the character to the right of the cursor was a space or a line break. And a really great feature would be, that if you have marked something and type the first character of a paired couple, that the marked stuff would not be substituted but surrounded by the pair.
