Preview any kind of text file with Notepad++

Does anyone know of a way to make Notepad++ a preview app (Windows Explorer) for ascii type files other than XML…
I notice that it will work as a preview app for XML but even though selecting it as a default app for other types will not make it preview that file type in Explorer? -
when you are referring to the explorer preview pane, than it has nothing to do with npp.
It’s an explorer feature and if you want to have additional extensions registered you need
to modify registry.If it hasn’t to do with explorer preview pane, can you upload a screenshot from what you
