    Really hope to see a linux version notepad++.

      I’m using notepad++ everyday. But for editing files saved in a linux server. Don’t like vi/emacs/nedit style.
      Tried wine1.8.2, it can load notepad++.exe but can’t edit file or using short cut.
      Please considering port it to linux. Thanks!

        Hello @Fisher-Chen,

        of course npp functionality is limited on linux but editing files works for me.
        Why can’t you edit files? Do you get an error message?

          When starting notepad++, it reports below errors. And if I change any text even just typing a space, it will stop responding and have to ctrl-c kill it. Thanks!

            What is your Wine prefix - 32 bit or 64 bit?
            What version of Windows is your Wine configured to emulate?

            Try Wine in XP mode with 32bit prefix.
