Unable to select 64-bit Notepad++ default for file formats

Using 64-bit Windows 7.
I right click on the file, select Open With, choose default program, Browse, select C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe, select Open. However, Notepad++ does not show up in the “Open With” dialog.
Can you help?
