I am an enthusiast user of SciTE (http://www.scintilla.org/SciTE.html ) and I just discovered Notepad++.
I am interested in knowing the differences between SciTE and Notepad++ .

    Thank you everybody.

      Hello, Giovanni Angeli,

As an introduction, just read this Wikipedia link :

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notepad%2B%2B

Look, also, on the official Notepad++ site :

      https://notepad-plus-plus.org/features/

You’ll find good documentation ( maybe, not updated to the last versions ! ) from the link, below :

      http://docs.notepad-plus-plus.org/index.php/Main_Page

Anyway, if, as you said, you do like the SciTE editor, you’ll certainly love using Notepad++, too !

      Best Regards,

      guy038

I guess, an ability of defining own language highlight rules is one of the differences.
