Need new functionality - add time and date timestamp

Hi Community Users,

In MS notepad, you can add time and date timestamp by just pressing F5 hotkey.
As I prefer to use notepad++, I really need this functionality in notepad++.

This is very useful and critical, when working on a project that requires detailed timestamps, for example, later on in the project, be able to gather and recall detailed timestamps for when each step/action took place, example : putting together a Root Cause Analyses Report or just a reminder when something took place.

Whilst there is a notepad++ Add-On “TextFX Characters” that offers this functionality, I’m not allowed to install any plugins, so I need this functionality built-in to notepad without the need for any external plug-ins.

Where can I submit the request for this functionality to be added as an enhancement request?
