BUG: Language Drop Down List Lag

Whenever I try to use Notepad++ with java after the second to last update there is very noticeable lag between input and the text appearing. This doesn’t happen with normal text files or languages without the drop down list of methods. I’ve briefly tested this with 3-4 different languages.
I’m on a computer that’s admittedly very powerful so I know that the problem isn’t with my computer. I’m on a windows 10 MSI Apache Pro Laptop with an i7 skylake intel processor and an Nvidia 960M graphics card.

I turned off the auto complete for Java and it fixed the input lag so I’m fairly certain the problem is with the auto complete.
