    Hello! Cyrillic symbols shows incorrect:

    On the the screenshot you can see the same text file that was created in Notepad++ and re-opened in Notepad++ and in Lister.
    Is there anyway to fix it?

      @Alex-Noter

      maybe it is obvious to you but it isn’t for me.
      The only obvious difference I see at the moment is the usage of a different font,
      which by the way, could be a impact how things look like.

      Cheers
      Claudia

        @Claudia-Frank
        The very first word must be “Для” (the lister shows it right), but in Notepad++ I see strange symbols “ƒл¤”.

          try using the same font as in linter.
          Font can be changed in Settings->Style Configurator.

          Cheers

            @Claudia-Frank
            I am not sure why, but I’ve just deleted all the text from the file, typed it once more and now it works fine. Seems like I did something stupid and didn’t even notice.
            Thank you for your time! Sorry to bother ;-)

              I found the source of the problem and its solution: convert file to the UTF-8. For some reason Notepad++ creates new text files in Macintosh encoding. In settings I chose Windows, UTF-8 for new files, but notepad++ using Macintosh anyway.

                do I understand correctly, if you open a new (an empty one) document it opens
                with macintosh encoding even you have configured that new documents
                should always be opened as utf8?

                If so, which npp version do you use? Any uncommon plugins in use?
                Can you post your debug-info? (available under ? menu)

                Cheers

                  This problem appeared with the advent of the engine determine the encoding.

                  We at the Russian forum indicated in the header of the topic of the forum, to disable this feature in the settings. It would be nice if it was turned off for the Russians by default. Those who do not know about this at the moment break their files.
