I’m used to the venerable text editor XyWrite. It let’s me put in a little field, <c1>, which will show up as 1, then the next <c1> will show up as 2, etc. Does NPP have anything like that? I’m editing a set of 30 some posts from a website discussion forum, and I want to number each–and in a way that dynamically updates them. If I delete one post, all the numbers past that deletion should automatically show one less than before the deletion.

Note, I’m not interesting in numbering every line but every post (each post being 20 - 200 lines long.
