Nice easteregg right before easter.
Current version of DspellCheck is https://github.com/Predelnik/DSpellCheck/releases/tag/v1.4.2 and it is stable on my system.

@donho Hello. I have a question. Would you not make the Monitoring functionality to work with Windows XP also? The latest version in which Monitoring works fine on XP is 7.5.1, beyond of that version the functionality works only on Win 7 and above . . . (I also read something like the Monitoring functionality was dropped for WinXP) I’m using WinXP, and I’m stuck to version 7.5.1 (I have an old laptop). Would you not make it to work with XP for the upcoming versions also?

Now I changed my profile settings to notify me about messages . . . -
@KantorZsolt
Why are you asking for this when it already works in Notepad++ 7.5.6 under WIndows XP ?? -
It works?? I didn’t know, I read the changelog . . . but probably this slipped away.
Probably it’s this “Fix file status detection issue under Windows XP”.
I will try it! Thanks! -
Just checked, monitoring (tail -f) is just working fine on XP! Nice!
Thanks! -
Ever since updating to Notepad++ 7.5.6 (I skipped 7.5.4/7.5.5) every now and then startup takes a very long time (~5-10 seconds). Usually it’s fast (<1s). It does not depend on wether Notepad++ was launched before or not, it just happens statistically every now and then when launching.
Is anybody else experiencing htis behavior and was any code touched since 7.5.3 that could cause such a performance regression?
-
@Ede123 Hi! I might be in the same update routine as you are and I notice this behaviour as well. I also cannot tell when exactly this happens, it seems quite random.
-
I think I found the culprit: Update checking by JSTool plugin. :-/
