Collapsed lines become visible when printed?

I have a use case where I’d like to produce printouts with numbered lines and have lines that are in collapsed blocks remain hidden. I have noticed that collapsed line sections are expanded when printing which isn’t what I want.

Is this use case supported or is there anyone working on a related feature enhancement?

I am willing to contribute some time towards adding/implementing this feature if it doesn’t yet exist. Anyone else interested?
