Is it possible to add an option to open new file tab instead of focusing the already opened Notepad++ when in single-instance mode?

Ctr-n works if Notepad++ is my currently focused window. But for example if I am browsing the web and I want to copy some text and put it in a new file while at the same time Notepad++ is already opened with some other text file I would have to switch to Notepad++ and then press Ctrl-N or click the New file button. It would be easier to just click the Quick Launch button or the desktop icon of Notepad++ to get that new file tab opened.

Appears so–a feature request to save one action.
