I am working on a class in SQL. Is there a way to set SQL as the default language that is set every time I create a new file, so I don’t have to click on Language and then SQL every time?

Have you tried, Settings, preferences, New Document, and near the bottom, set Default Language?

I don’t use this but it would seem it might help you.
