Is there a way to set a default language type?

I am working on a class in SQL. Is there a way to set SQL as the default language that is set every time I create a new file, so I don’t have to click on Language and then SQL every time?

Have you tried, Settings, preferences, New Document, and near the bottom, set Default Language?I don’t use this but it would seem it might help you.
