requisitos de hardware para o notpad ++
-
I want to know what the recommended hardware requirement is to run notpad ++
-
there are no special hardware requirements. It is an editor.
Why do you think you need to know such hardware specs in this case? -
bienvenido a la notepad++ community, @Gustavo-Alberto-Haas
there are very few requirements.
the recommended hardware and software requirements for notepad++ 7.6.6 are:- intel pentium III cpu or higher, or any other compatible brand cpu.
- windows 7 (32 or 64 bit) or above for full functionality, or xp for functionality without updater and plugins admin.
- 2gb of total ram.
- about 20mb space on your hard disk to install notepad++, plus additional space for your files
-
where does this come from?
-
it comes from experience.
please verify this experience to assure that it is still up to date. -
would you be surprised if I tell you that we run notepad++ on 1.5 Ghz single core CPU
with 1GB RAM and Windows XP SP2 without any problem?
I can’t say for sure which version it is but I think it is 7.5.X -
for cpu recommendation: pentium 3 was a single core cpu with max freq of 1.4ghz
for xp: see the full functionality section above
for memory recommendation: try to install a current operating system or at least windows 7 and check the performance when editing large files.
for hdd recommendation: please try to install notepad++ on a drive with less than the amount of free space needed to install notepad++.ps: are you in a bad mood today ?

Wait, I assume I’m missing something.
If this are npp (software) recommendations than it must be added on top of the operating system requirements and that is what I’m in doubt of.
I assume that even when installing the minimum windows os hardware recommendation, that there is no problem to run this os together with npp, at least from npp point of view.ps: are you in a bad mood today ?
Huh, why are you asking?

Sorry for the delay in answering. I’m doing a personal job researching programs, and I wanted to learn how to use this notpad ++. and as I did not know this program did not know which hardware to use. Thank you all for taking my word for it.
