Will the Old Obsolete Icon ever come back?

Hi, I’m sticking with v. 6.9 solely because of the old icon.
I know this sounds silly but I just can’t get associate the new icon with a text application.
I’m perfectly happy with the functionality of 6.9, but my software updaters keep screaming at me that I should update.
I know we’re at 7.7 now, but I’m wondering if there are plans to maybe reintroduce the amazing old obsolete icon with future versions?

I have only ever used the “portable” version, which doesn’t (AFAIK) ever inform about updates…but can’t you simply turn off update notifications if you are happy with v6.9?

I use third-party update notification apps. But that’s not really the point. My point is, I’m sure that some good stuff has been added since 7.0 was first introduced. And I’m not using it because of the icon :)
