default xml file types

Can vcxprog and props be added to the default XML file types list? I have already added them using the user option of the styler window.

If you add them to the user extension list in Style Configurator, and you restart, then those extensions should be associated with xml.
If that isn’t working for you, could you paste a screenshot of that dialog box here?

I did that " I have already added them using the user option of the styler window" ps typo vcxproj not vcxprog. The reason I asked for the change is that I believe the change is lost on every upgrade of the portable version and I have to make it again after the upgrade.

Ah. Yes, if you unzip the portable on top of your config files, you will lose your settings. That is the way of things. If you choose to use the portable, you have to accept that, or learn how to merge the old with the new.
As far as adding it to defaults, this FAQ explains feature requests.
