I take the new version (before 8.1.4) 64x and my program don’t start !

You quote an image about v8.1.5 release notes. Your text says “new version”, but you say “before 8.1.4”.

What version are you actually trying to install and run? Where exactly did you download it? Were you upgrading from an earlier version (and if so, what version did you used to have that did work for you)?

My guess is something got corrupted either when you downloaded or during your installation procedure, or there was a permission issue somewhere.

Try downloaded the most recent v8.1.5 portable edition from https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/v8.1.5/ , unzip to a known-writeable folder (maybe into your desktop) and try running the copy from there.

PS: oh, also, you said you grabbed the 64-bit Notepad++. Do you have a 64-bit OS?

I downloaded the version via the link available on the official website (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/v8.1.5/).

I previously had version 8.1.4.

I’m fine with the 64-bit version.

If I take the portable version, it works normally.

I will try to re-download and reinstall it …
