    I would like to know if there is a way to close all documents on exiting NotePad++ so that when I open it back up I have a blank workspace.

      @Charles-Banks

      Un-check off the Settings > Preferences > Backup > Remember current session for next launch checkbox. The “current session” is the list of active files, so if it’s not remembered, then the next time you open Notepad++, it opens with a fresh/empty session.
