K-Lite Codec Pack part of NP++?
-
Is K-Lite Codec Pack somehow included in / with Notepad++? Been using NP++ for years and never noticed this. Started getting notifications from K-Lite Codec Pack to install an available upgrade, but not sure what is is or where it came from. However it has the same install date in the Windows App Management as my last installed update to Notepad++ (9/30/21). Just coincidence? If it’s associated with NP++, no problem, other wise I probably need to figure out what K-Lite is and where it came from.
Thanks.

I never heard of something like that in association with Notepad++.

The K-Lite codec pack is for multi-media (video and/or audio) players. You might want to check which ever player you use for recent requested/suggested updates. -
OK guys, thanks for the info. Didn’t think NP++ was using any Codecs, but with the install dates matching and the depth of NP++ also couldn’t rule it out. Yes, I checked with the normal player I use, VLC, but they also Nope, all their codecs are built in. Thanks, time for more investigating …
