      Good morning, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but every time I update the application I lose what I have configured, for example, to make a copy of a text with “Ctrl + C”, I’m copying it fine, but after updating, it deletes the text I have selected and shows these letters

      alt text

      What can I do so that every time it is updated, or if I install it on another PC I can put the configuration I have created?

      Thank you.

        The information you have supplied is lacking in detail and somewhat confusing.

        Please Read a FAQ post here.

        It suggests you are installing a new version over the old version, however I can’t see how that relates to copy and paste.

        Supply more information as mentioned in that post and then someone may be able to help.

        Terry

          Hi Terry, I am using Notepad and when I press the key combination Ctrl + C, the text is copied so I can paste it somewhere else, it is working fine.
          Now I have updated Notepad, on the version that is installed, and Ctrl + C no longer works, when I press this key combination it shows this text

          I hope I have explained myself less this time, I don’t speak English and I use a translator.

            @SoCu ,

            On rare occasions when I am messing around in the PythonScript plugin, I will do something that makes it so that certain Control+Key combos insert their default ASCII character-code rather than perform their editor-defined behavior. When this happens, all I have to do is exit Notepad++ completely and restart it, and it goes back to normal behavior.

            If restarting doesn’t work for you, you may have to share your Debug Info with us (go to the ? menu, click Debug Info then click Copy debug info into clipboard, then paste into your reply), and maybe go through an experiment similar to the one described in this FAQ. (yes, I know, the FAQ is focused on crashes, and you aren’t having crashes. but the FAQ is effectively a guide for debugging which plugin is causing a problem for you in Notepad++, regardless of what type of error the plugin is causing)

              Thanks PeterJones, the reboot thing I will take into account next time, to see that it was failing, I reinstalled it, the truth is that it has happened to me several times, even copy the configuration from one computer to another, and the same thing happened, and now I can not check it on the other PC, but when I can see if to run it again has been solved.
