limit the number of lines in a document ?

notepad ++ can cause a high disk usage . is there a way where i could limit the number of lines in a document ?

There is no way to tell Notepad++ to load only the first N lines of a file. Generally, this wouldn’t be a useful thing; perhaps when only viewing a file it makes sense, but if that’s the case I’d suggest using a dedicated file viewer, not an editor.
