A couple of suggestions for minor tweaks to your installer. (My system is 64 bit Win10)
a) when updating, the window which asks for selection of language often ends up hidden behind other windows and this has caught me out on occasion as I can’t work out why notepad++ seems to have frozen.
Maybe you could make it topmost?b) if there is already a desktop icon in place, maybe you could skip the option to create one or pre-fill it as ticked?
Very minor stuff, no big deal, it’s a great piece of software. Has got me out of some deep holes!

I recommend you look at the issues, check if someone’s already submitted an issue like yours, and submit an issue if not.
