NP++ Not Responding

Not Responding
I have been using NP++ for years but now I have an issue where if I open a document then close NP++, it goes into Not Responding. I have to close it via the Task Manager. I updated to the latest version and still have same issue. -
Could you provide your plugin lists?

I have the same problem, and i havent plugins installed. But i have win10.

most of the problems with Windows 10 were encountered as npp was started as adminsitrator.
maybe you wanna give it a try? Right-click on shortcut->Properties->Compatibility and uncheck
Run as administrator.If this doesn’t solve your problem, may I ask you to provide more information about what you are doing?
Which npp version? debug->info (from ? menu), how do you try to open the file? Where is the file located? etc…Cheers

I had the same problem on windows 10 - However, I was not running it at an administrator. However, just as an experiment, I set it to run as an administrator, got the problem again, turned off the administrator option and it seems ok now.

Even not in run in admin I had the issue in Windows 10, where 90% of the time when I close the app (alt + F4 or X button) in hangs forever - had to kill it with task manager.
I tried runnign compatibility for Windows 7 and works fine now.
Notepad++ shortcut Properties -> Compatibilities -> Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7

This bug occur when i use** View>“folder as a workspace”** mode. When i remove it everything become normal.
