Np++ 6.8.5 doesn't save in default extension

Hi to all.
In Preferences-> New document I have Set “.Java” ext as default for new files, but N++ 6.8.5 saves all as “All types(.)”.
This was functioning with 6.8.2.
May I change some other parameters?

I’m having the exact same problem in 6.8.5. No matter what I do, it reverts back to “All Types”.
Even if I select .txt from the drop down (or any other Type), it still won’t assign the .txt (or any other) extension to the file name. I have to input that manually. Been trying for a while to sort this, no luck.
I can also confirm that using 6.8.2 fixes this, so seems to be a 6.8.5 bug.
