Recorded macros fail after saving and reusing

I have used the NPP macro recorder to do repetitive editing of csv data files for many years, and it does a fabulous job. However their appears to be problems with how they are saved for re use as the macros do not function in the same way way after saving them and re invoking the recorded and saved macro. Specifically cut and past (CTRL C and CTRL V) calls made in the recorded sequence. They can be used many times in a single session, but after saving and naming, and reloading in a new session the copy and pastes don’t occur. Does anyone know why?
