I recently discovered ‘Brackets’ by Adobe; it’s excellent. It’s not on the AppStore, but if you google it, you’ll find it easily. Completely free, and hundreds of optional extensions for themes, fonts etc to add on. I highly recommend it.

                                  Hello,
I am actually working on porting Notepad++ to macOS. If you have any coding experience with Objective-C or Swift, it would be appreciated if you could help me.

I like Atom, but Notepad++ is more lightweight so I prefer it. If you need any help in developing a version for mac, I offer my knowledge and my time.

BBEdit from Bare Bones Development. It’s free to use. Pay for extra features. Not a large expense if you decide to purchase it. Not an endorsement, just a happy user.
