Hi I just noticed the Notepad++ download page https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.8.8.html fails to mention that evidently only the Installer version includes the Auto Updater component. I downloaded the .7z portable version expecting it would include everything the installer version does, but it did not have the auto updater and the Auto Update option was missing altogether in Settings Preferences > MISC. Then I downloaded the Installer and the Auto Update did show. So can you please update the above link to mention this? Or even better - include the auto updater in the .zip and .7z no-install versions also. Thanks - LOVE the program otherwise. I tip my hat to your dedication to real C++ efficient programming, not .NET memory hog Bloatware!!
