Is there a “native” login option or only via Facebook / Twitter et al? I don’t see another way.

Likewise, I don’t see how to log out if I want to. Is there a way?

      Matt

        No

We need to talk about going to a oculist ;-) Don’t be afraid it doesn’t hurt.
Or maybe, a click on your profile picture in the top right corner may make a visit
        by the doctor needless ;-D

        Cheers
        Claudia

          Hi Claudia,

I’m afraid an eye doctor will not be able to do much about this particular problem. But your replies are “eye-opening” :-) and much appreciated!

Here’s another chance to score some appreciation points:

Is there a way to close “extra” non-document windows such as the Search Results Window or the Python Script Console other than by using the mouse to click the window’s close button? I haven’t managed to stumble across this in either the menus or the Shortcut Mapper.

This is the only thing I routinely do in NPP which I haven’t figured out how to do from the keyboard. I know the physical movement is probably good for my health :-) but somehow I find it jarring to have to reach for the mouse whenever I want to do this. It sort of breaks up my flow, not least of all because every time I do it, this same question automatically replays itself in my mind and I have to tell myself to ignore it (yeah, I’m a bit peculiar …)

          Matt

            Hi Claudia,

I’m reposting my new question as a new topic.

As for logout: I discovered after reading your reply that I was already logged out (apparently automatically) and that’s why I didn’t see the profile picture in the upper right corner - it wasn’t there. Instead there’s just “Login”, which was confusing, because I was still able to look at all kinds of posts, etc and generally do everything I can do when logged in - except for posting and logging out, I guess - and everything looks pretty much the same, except for that tiny picture way up in the corner, which I’d probably never noticed in the first place - normally I have no reason to look up there … like I said, an eye doc will be of no help! Anyway, now I know.

            Thanks,
            Matt

              @Matt-Isaacson

that makes sense, when logged out there isn’t a pic in the corner :-)

Regarding your question - good question, never thought about this, hhmmm, need to think about it
but from first point of view I don’t think it can be done for all… maybe a couple of them, when having shortcuts assigned … or …

I will come back on this - now I’m curious myself how this can be done.

              Cheers
              Claudia
