    The standard windows hotkey for closing a child window is CTRL + F4. This hotkey does not seem to implemented in Notepad++.

    Does anyone know if another hotkey combination exists for this purpose?

      Hello @Icosa-Deca,

      I assume you are referring to active window instead of child window and
      I assume you want to close the active document CTRL+W.
      If you want to reassign the shortcut you know use
      Settings->Shortcut Mapper->Main Menu
      double click on Close and reassign the accelerator.

      Cheers
      Claudia
