Color non-printable characters in "whitespace color" instead of "font color"
-
Currently, non-printable characters are shown in “font color”, which makes for a rather disturbing display, especially with all the line-endings, being fat blocks of black/white.
But whitepsace characters are mostly displayed in a more subtle fashion, like grey or a light orange.
Is there any chance to change this so that non-printables are displayed in the whitespace color instead of the font color? I would argue that they fit better in the whitespace character category anyway, as the are not visible normally.

I agree it would be nice to be configurable…however it is something Scintilla would have to implement. Here is the feature request on their tracker.
