Tab Spaces

Hi Folks,
I am new to Notepad++. Can I change the number of spaces for Tab? I tried changing it from 4 to 2 but it won’t work.Many Thanks,

You will have to be more specific about what you tried before anyone can diagnose the problem.

I went to settings/preferences/tab settings/ & attempted to change the tab size. I chose HTML & unchecked the box for Use Default Value. I tried to change tab size to 2 instead of 4 but it won’t change.

So I take it that you want to change the tab settings for HTML files?
When you say “it won’t change”, you mean what exactly? Do you mean the user interface to make the change does not work, or do you mean that once you exit the Preferences dialog, the results of making the change don’t work?

In the user interface under settings/preferences/tab settings, I highlite the 4 in Tab Size box & replace it with 2 but there is nothing there to apply my change except a close button.
