Are parallel installations officially supported? I ask because if I silently install notepad++ 32-bit on a system that already has notepad++ 64-bit installed, it will uninstall 64-bit in the process.
If they are supported, then during silent installation the prompt “You’re installing 32-bit version. 64-bit version has been installed. Remove it?” should default as “No.” If parallel installations are not recommended or supported, then the current silent installation behavior is fine.
The addition of another command line switch to choose the answer to that prompt would also work as well.

On Windows 7 32bit I’ve uninstalled old version, deleted “C:\Program Files\Notepad++” directory, and installed 7.2.1.
On start a windows opens “There are still some pending actions to complete installing or removing some pluing. Would you liike to do these now (Notepad++ will be restartes)?”If I click “Yes” another window: “The external plugin update (gpup.exe) under the updare directory does not appear to be correct version. It will most likely work, but you should reinstall the plugin manager at your next opportunity to ensure full functionality. We’ll attempt to use the current version for this operation”.
Click OK : notepadd++ restart and first window reappears. -
Hi Don,
I believe this problem started in 7.2.1, but I’m not entirely sure (it may have started with 7.2). When using the Replace function and invoking keystroke ALT+A to execute “Replace All”, NP++ executes “Find All in Current Document” from Find.

Hello,
after installing 7.2.1, I started npp, but getting a “there are still pending Actions to complete…” from the plugin Manager. After pressing yes it Shows that gpup.exe has not the correct Version and I could try to still use it or update it to ensure full functionality. But it’s the Version from the installer, so I did not install it manualy. So if I press OK it Shows that gpup has crashed and so the Story Begins again (starting npp and showing that message). I had also tried to reinstall after uninstalling npp, but it doesn’t help.
I’m using Windows 10 64bit.
