same file side by side in full view

Is there a way to have same file opened at least twice but in full view, not in different pane as already described here. I know it is possible to implement, because “sublime text” has it for years now and I am waiting to enjoy the same in notepad++!

what about using Clone to other view and
then press F11 or F12 (note, click first in document before using those shortcuts)?Cheers

“Clone to other view” opens new panel. I would like to have in same panel / window, the whole panel /window.

I am sorry that I was not clear, will try better now.
In sublime, open a file, then go to “File” > “New view into file”. I get the same file open again, but in new tab, side by side in the same pane, as I would opened another file, but it is actually the same as already. It works in sublime out of the box. Thank you -
OK, now I understand what you mean but actually I don’t see how one can benefit from it.
Meaning if you change text in the first tab, text gets automatically changed in the second tab.
Makes sense as I think that the second tab is just a another pointer to the same object the first
tab refers to. May I polity ask you, why do you need this?To answer the question, no, there is no way, currently, to get this in npp but to be honest, I don’t see
why it should be implemented at all - maybe you can clarify the idea behind, which may help that
one thinks it is worth to spent time coding such functionality.Cheers

This kind of new view into file, enables me to see more of the file, than if I open a new view also in new pane. Because it is in “full view” or entire view of the window. If I have to open a new pane, existing pane is in the way of seeing the file in entire window. Yes, I can resize the pane. But that is unnecessary distraction / clicking. Surly authors of Sublime saw benefits, other way they would not spend time for it. Also crimson editor had it, but unfortunately no longer in development.
I was afraid, that I would get a negative response, because I have a feeling that tabs in Notepad++ are be implemented in a way, that prevents this kind of functionality. -

Am I right to say that the main purpose of this feature is
that you, for example, view lines 1-30 in one tab
and, let’s say, 50-80 in the other tab. And instead of scrolling
the whole document you just switch to the other tab?Same applies to horizontal scrolling but are there other

@Claudia-Frank Yes. That way, I can work on the same file in multiple places in the file. Plus, I work most of the time on laptop, and that is why the size of the view point is important to me. I was for a wile opening the same file as “Open in new instance”, so I had a full windows view. But the problem with this approach is, that I can not edit both file at once. After I save a file in one instance, I lost changes I made in another instance of notepad++.
